The polls have not yet closed in my state, yet Yahoo's state-by state results map shows that 3% of precincts have already reported their results, and that Obama "has won" in this state. Well, yes, in this state he probably has - but it just seems so wrong for them to be announcing 'results' before the polls have even closed in this state, let alone out west!
Think it's safe to say Obama has won now!!!!! Whoopeee!!!!
ReplyDeleteGiven the fiasco in Florida 8 years ago they do their sums right now! My husband took great pains to explain all the statistical calculations that were going on throughout the evening (yawn, he's a CPA). They don't take any chances, but yes it seemed odd.
ReplyDeleteYea OBAMA
ReplyDeleteWell, thank goodness there was no accusations of any stealing this year. Yes, I agree--the media releases info too soon --even after all the moratoriums placed on it since last fiascos.
ReplyDeleteThe more I hear about the American electoral system, the less I understand it! At least high courtjudges don't need to be involved this time around. I'm off to buy my Commemorative issue of The Economist, I know it shd really be Time magazine, more iconic, but I AM British! And my hsuband wants to actually read it, so h esays it has to be the Economist
