I've had students in the past who told me that preparation for Thanksgiving starts with "First, shoot your turkey!" and I have colleagues whose husbands hunt deer (and then eat them) so I had NO clue that this 'turkey shoot' did not actually involve shooting turkeys! And DH, looking over my shoulder says that around here 'turkey shoots' sometimes involve bow and arrows and targets rather than guns.

Oh, and nappyvalleygirl - you really want to deal with the hassle of getting a gun permit? ;-)Almost Americanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17865905831387595915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29874674.post-43953363662855363472009-11-03T12:17:33.633-05:002009-11-03T12:17:33.633-05:00Ha ha! Winner goes home with a (usually frozen) turkey?

My dad could tell you more about both shooting turkeys and turkey shoots than you probably ever want to know. ;)kenandbellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01177649795946525140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29874674.post-16980108528873711462009-11-03T10:27:21.323-05:002009-11-03T10:27:21.323-05:00Aha.
