I'm still an alien, so I can't vote here, but I will take credit for voting by proxy, ie, if my husband says he can't be arsed to vote as he doesn't agree with the system (or some such) I make him go anyway, and tell him to vote my way. I'm not always guaranteed that my voice gets heard, but at least he comes back with his 'I voted' sticker!!AliBlahBlahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03335907266347761153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29874674.post-19878299097719808932008-09-06T20:32:00.000-04:002008-09-06T20:32:00.000-04:00Yeah - I figured I'd lost the right to vote in the...Yeah - I figured I'd lost the right to vote in the UK - the same as I have no right to NHS coverage either. Fair enough really!

And no, I did not remove you from my RSS feed Sarah! (But I was very glad to hear that your post about Sarah Palin was tongue-in-cheek!)Almost Americanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17865905831387595915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29874674.post-15294641540380891992008-09-06T18:28:00.000-04:002008-09-06T18:28:00.000-04:00Yeah! Yes, hubby and I are not able to vote even via proxy as it's been over 10 years. I trust the masses will do the right thing over there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29874674.post-81488187987774951392008-09-06T14:14:00.000-04:002008-09-06T14:14:00.000-04:00You go girl!BTW I was doing a little research a fe...You go girl!
BTW I was doing a little research a few months ago and I swear I remember reading that either if you've been out of the UK for the last 15 years, or haven't voted there, you're no longer eligible to vote.Expat mumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17798190669591053390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29874674.post-44545942648632876712008-09-04T22:23:00.000-04:002008-09-04T22:23:00.000-04:00AA as I posted on my blog, fret not I am not about...AA as I posted on my blog, fret not I am not about to go all political on you. I stick to comparing the US vs UK system at most, the rest is a look at the lighter side like snowboots ;-)

Btw - did you take me off your RSS!?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09542425639950850366noreply@blogger.com
