After 31 years in the United States, I find myself more American than I ever expected to be, yet not so American in many ways.

Coming soon
Well, next weekend sometime anyway: an explanation of what a sugar house is, and more about maple syrup than you probably ever wanted to know.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment you posted on my site. David is to blame for me spending far too long reading blogs too! I'm adding you to my blogroll and will be back soon!
Sorry for the delay expatmum - and it may be longer yet. I wanted to have some photos to go with the post (which is mostly written already) but I forgot to take my camera to work with me today and was kicking myself on the drive home as I saw at least four photos I wanted to take. There is a real sugar 'shack' (and I mean shack!) that I pass every day, but they only seem to be boiling on Thursdays and Fridays so I'll have to wait until next week now to get a photo. Maybe I should just do a series of posts, rather then one . . .

Rosie.
You really know how to keep a person dangling! (as the actress said to the bishop!)
